Buying a property with a view to development has enough risks already without unexpected soil contamination issues. New Zealand law is based on the 'buyer beware' principal, so if you buy it you inherit any soil contamination problems. We can offer a timely, confidential appraisal of land you are looking to purchase. We can look at the historical uses of the site to determine what the risks are and use on-site XRF testing to give real-time results for heavy metal contamination. Services can be scaled to your budget and risk appetite, and could be a simple phone call and review of historical aerials, to a full Detailed Site Investigation to enable an estimate of the scale and extent of contamination.
